Finnish-made reliability for long-term production

Made in Finland, FastBeam 3 gives production teams reliable performance for everyday industrial laser welding. Long-term spare-parts availability and dependable lifecycle support help protect productivity and extend the value of the investment.

Faster setup and precise weld control

FastBeam 3 combines 3 kW fiber laser power with adjustable beam shape, balance, wobble and power, helping welders increase welding speed while maintaining precise control over penetration and weld profile, resulting in stronger welds.

Industry leading laser welding safety

FastBeam 3 supports safer handheld laser welding with color-coded status lights, a limited start window after torch contact and automatic laser power cut-off with double backup. A laser welding helmet and protective goggles are supplied as standard.

Handheld laser welding engineered for high-volume production

FastBeam 3 is a Finnish-made 3 kW handheld fiber laser welding machine developed for industrial welding. It combines high-speed laser performance with precise beam control, guided parameter setup, integrated welding data, layered safety and a practical system design built around the welder.

The concentrated power of the 3 kW fiber laser supports high welding speeds and deep penetration while maintaining a narrow heat-affected zone. By limiting the spread of heat around the weld, FastBeam 3 helps reduce thermal distortion, rework and post-weld finishing. It enables the welder to complete high-quality welds faster while reducing the time spent correcting or finishing the workpiece.

Adapt the laser to each welding job

Metals, joint geometries and production requirements can change from one job to the next. FastBeam 3 gives welders greater control over how laser power reaches the joint.

Penetration Shape Control lets the operator adapt the laser beam to each application by adjusting its shape, balance, wobble and power. The beam wobble width can be set from 0 to 5 mm, with a frequency of 20 to 200 Hz. This gives the welder precise control over penetration and the weld profile across different materials and joint designs.

This flexibility gives welding professionals the control needed to use high-speed laser welding across a wider range of production tasks.

Faster setup to weld work

Introducing a new welding process should support production rather than slow it down. Weld Assist helps the operator find suitable laser welding parameters quickly and easily, reducing the time required to set up new jobs, therefore making handheld laser welding easier to set up, manage and document in industrial production.

Stable performance with external water cooling

A high-capacity external chiller supplies the cooling power required by the water-cooled 3 kW laser power source and LT3 welding torch. This helps maintain controlled operating temperatures and stable laser welding performance throughout demanding production work.

With 5 m and 10 m cooling hose options, the chiller can be positioned outside the laser welding enclosure. This reduces heat and noise in the working area while providing greater flexibility when planning the production layout.

Safety that keeps up with welders' challenges and changing risks

Safety that keeps up with welders' challenges and changing risks

Welding safety has become increasingly demanding. The hazards at the arc remain constant, but modern working conditions mean exposure can accumulate over longer shifts and in tighter indoor spaces. As a result, welding PPE needs to be treated as both protection for the welder and proof of compliance. At Kemppi, welding safety PPE is designed and validated in practice through clear requirements, welder-led feedback, and verified compliance with EU PPE Regulation 2016/425, CE marking processes, and relevant EN standards.
