Today we had the honor of meeting an Austrian expert welder, David Blank, at our stand in Schweissen und Schneiden. In a couple of weeks, David will travel to Abu Dhabi to compete in the WorldSkills competition with welders from all over the world.
"I've been practicing three times a week since January. It is difficult to estimate the total amount of hours, as I've already lost track in counting them," David tells about his preparation for the competition. "It must easily be at least 500 hours."
During our brief chat, it became obvious how high this young welder's motivation is towards the profession. We were also very impressed to notice that he had dressed to the occasion, wearing a Kemppi hoodie while visiting the exhibition in Dusseldorf, Germany.
