Finnish-made industrial laser welding machine
FastBeam 3 is made in Finland for demanding industrial laser welding, from the 3 kW laser power source to final system assembly. Long-term spare parts availability supports planned maintenance and service continuity, giving production teams greater confidence in the equipment and its value throughout the product lifecycle.
Set-up to weld in no time
Weld Assist guides the welder towards suitable starting parameters for each laser welding task. This reduces time spent searching for settings and producing trial welds when materials or applications change. Production teams gain faster job changeovers, more consistent starting points and less dependence on individual parameter-setting experience.
Shape penetration nailing every joint
Penetration Shape Control lets welders adjust the laser beam’s shape, balance, wobble pattern and power according to the application. Wobble width can be set from 0 to 5 mm at a frequency of 20 to 200 Hz, giving welders precise control over penetration and the weld profile across different materials and joint designs.
Industry leading built-in safety part of the welding sequence
FastBeam 3 makes machine status and safety controls part of the normal workflow. Color-coded lights communicate the system state at a glance. Welding must begin within a short, defined window after torch contact, while a double-backup system cuts the laser power if the processor becomes unresponsive. The Lambda L200 helmet and Starlight Plus safety goggles are supplied as standard.
Keep process control close to the welder
Welder awareness is built into FastBeam 3. The ControlPad gives clear access to laser welding parameters and system status. With 5 m and 10 m control cable options, it can be used up to 10 meters from the power source. The controls stay close to the work while the main equipment is positioned to suit the component, enclosure and production layout.
Stable performance with water-cooling
FastBeam 3 combines a water-cooled 3 kW fiber laser power source with a high-capacity external chiller that cools both the laser source and the LT3 torch. The 5 m and 10 m cooling hose options allow the chiller to be positioned outside the welding enclosure, reducing heat and noise near the operator while improving service access and installation flexibility.
Single or dual-wire feeding
CoolFeed 300 delivers stable, accurately controlled filler-wire feeding when a joint requires added material. It supports wire diameters from 0.8 to 1.6 mm and application-specific feeder kits and liners. FastBeam 3 can run two feeders simultaneously for dual-wire welding, with each feeder secured to the power source or positioned closer to the weld.
Perfected ergonomics for accuracy
The LT3 laser welding torch is dimensioned using European hand measurements to support a natural grip and precise handheld control. A red diode pointer is supplied as standard, providing the welder with a clear visual reference to align the torch with the joint before laser welding begins.
Built to move where the action is
The FastBeam 3 power source is mounted on wheels as standard, making it easy to move between workstations and position around components. Side brackets keep the torch and cables organized. Mounting plates, wire-feeder wheels, boom hangers, a ControlPad table bracket and the CoolFeed Double Trolley provide further flexibility for different production layouts.

Safety that keeps up with welders' challenges and changing risks
Welding safety has become increasingly demanding. The hazards at the arc remain constant, but modern working conditions mean exposure can accumulate over longer shifts and in tighter indoor spaces. As a result, welding PPE needs to be treated as both protection for the welder and proof of compliance. At Kemppi, welding safety PPE is designed and validated in practice through clear requirements, welder-led feedback, and verified compliance with EU PPE Regulation 2016/425, CE marking processes, and relevant EN standards.
