Since commencing in 2020, the annual Kemppi Australia Art of Welding Competition has gone from strength to strength. The competition receives numerous entries from both professional and amateur artists hoping to be selected as a winner.

Fast ein Jahr lang schweißte er an einem individuell gestalteten Motorrad, das bei der Tombola einer Wohltätigkeitsveranstaltung verlost werden sollte. Der Erlös der Tombola wird verwendet, um die Freizeit-Kraftfahrzeugwerkstatt für die Jugend zu unterstützen, die für Jugendliche im Alter zwischen 14 und 21 Jahren oft als Sprungbrett ins Arbeitsleben fungiert.
